Happy Father’s Day

Happy Father’s Day!💐

Blessed be the memory of those days when love and affection flowed endlessly through the home. I was six years old, a child unaware of life’s twists and turns. With my small, tender hands, I wrapped my arms around my revered father, Shir Ahmad Yawar Kangorchi. The love between us was captured in an eternal photograph. The tall and handsome young man standing beside us is my brother, Ahmad Shah.

Life was filled with respect, kindness, and warmth. Kabul, the city of dreams, was living through its final years of happiness and tranquility. Yet even in those days, the hands of the clock silently warned of an impending, devastating war. The spring days were gradually coming to an end, and a blessed and bountiful summer was approaching slowly and steadily.

Our residence was a haven of peace and safety. My father, a dignified and kind man, constantly filled my world with love and knowledge through his caring gaze, wise words, and fatherly affection. The scent of night-blooming jasmine and the delightful fragrance of roses filled the courtyard, while our loyal wolf, Nino (NINO), faithfully kept watch and displayed unwavering devotion.

My childhood blossomed under the loving shadow of that great man. The memory of those days remains a timeless fragrance imprinted in my mind.

O Almighty Creator, envelop the soul of my dear father, along with all the departed, in Your boundless mercy and grant them eternal peace until the Day of Resurrection.
